Welcome to the 2027 Medicare plan year.

I'm here to help you understand your coverage and take full advantage of your plan benefits.

Medicare in 2027: What to Expect

As we head into the 2027 Medicare season, you’ll be hearing about plan changes, new benefits, premiums, and even carriers moving in or out of certain markets.

The good news? I don't see the broad, dramatic changes we experienced in some of the past few years.

Instead, we're seeing carriers tighten up their benefits and, in some cases, their coverage footprints. Some plans have modest benefit reductions, while others are introducing premiums where there wasn't one before. At the same time, new carriers and new plan options are entering some markets.

So this year, it's really about looking at the whole picture—not just one benefit that went up or down.

Start with your Annual Notice of Change

Your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) is the place to start. It will show you what's changing with your current plan for 2027.

Don't feel like you have to make a decision immediately.

Justyn, my 2027 assistant, will be reaching out to help direct you through the changes and help you decide whether a conversation with me makes sense.

I've also added something new to my website this year: video comparisons of specific plans from 2026 to 2027, along with a look at some of the new options coming into the market.

For many people, the decision may simply come down to whether the core medical and ancillary benefits are still strong enough to justify the premium and any changes.

I'm happy to do the math with you.

No need to rush

If your current plan still looks good, staying put may be the best decision.

And remember, you don't have to make a change just because AEP is October 15–December 7. Depending on your situation, you still have opportunities to make a Medicare Advantage plan change in January, February, or March.

Take your time. Look at the changes. Watch the videos. Talk with Justyn. And if you want to make a change—or want to make sure staying put is the right decision—we're here to help.

I appreciate the partnership and your trust over the years.

I'm here to help.
